Good Pressure vs, High Cholesterol..

by D. Lonnay

Hi I just came back from my MD to find out that my cholestrol was 236...but my blood pressure is 120/76? He wants to put me on medication and i am not feeling sure about it. I tried to lower it the last 6 months and it only came down 4 points. How does my blood pressure stay so good if my cholesterol is considered high? I do eat great and exercise on a regular basis my weight is good also. Any advise would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

High Cholesterol Could Also be Healthy
by: Gem

The ratio between HDL and LDL will determine if there is a danger of developing heart disease.

If the HDL level which accounts for part of your overall reading of 236 is above 60, the now recognised low-risk level for HDL, then you are in the healthy low risk category. So find out what your ratio is.

The public need to educate themselves about the use of cholesterol in the body. The name "bad cholesterol" is a misleading statement and drives fear into people.

There is a wealth of information on spacedoc.net that will open your eyes to the real facts.

I have also a page on cholesterol versus high blood pressure. Watch the video at the bottom of the page. It will start the old grey matter ticking. Have a listen to Dr. Malcolm Kendrick, author of The Great Cholesterol Con in the video below.
