More Than a Change of Diet

by Selina

I am taking my medication every morning and every night. In the morning when I take it is 163/112 and then I take my medication and it comes down a little. I have changed my diet and nothing seem to be working. If someone knows what else I should be doing please e-mail me and let me know. Thank you for reading this.

Highest Plant Form of Omega 3
by: Gem - The Editor

I have been investigating linseed oil (flaxseed oil) Alex and apparently it has the highest level of omega-3 fatty acids that you can get from plants.

It contains alph linoletic acid (ALA) which is said to have beneficial health properties that prevent heart disease and reduce inflammation, a high risk factor in the development of atherosclerosis, and as you mentioned cancer prevention. On the other hand, some placebo tests reported no such results.

It must be noted too that a type of phytoestrogens called lignans that are present in the seeds but not in the extracted oil, need to be added for the oil to be cancer-preventing and have the antioxidant properties it is well known for.

Budwig & Blood Pressure
by: Alex

Thanks Gem. I mentioned this because there are testimonials that confirm this protocol lowers high blood pressure (several at the flaxoil website.)

Thankyou Alex for that helpful source of information. Another arrow in the quiver for those who are battling with cancer.

Please only post information about high blood pressure.

Good Doctor vs Bad Doctor
by: Gem - The Editor

Alex

I don`t know how your comment about finding an English doctor escaped me.

Just like everywhere else "English" doesn`t guarantee the best. If you live here in England where the majority of our doctors are born and bred you will find good and bad.

In my opinion, the best doctors are those who have also had training in nutrition and alternative. They are more inclined to help a patient with his choice of treatment.

Meditation - Calming Exercises - Bio Feedback
by: Anonymous

Worry is non-productive in combatting Hypertension
High Blood Pressure is basically non-symptomatic
which can lull one into thinking they don't have to "do" anything. If you are on a prescribed med
be sure to take it regularly and consistently.
If you make dietary changes, indicate when and what the changes were---Document, and have that for your next doctor's visit. Induce calm. Go for walks; listen to classical music (Mozart has been scientifically proven to alter areas of brain/mental stimulation in a positive affective manner)...Go to the Library for calm, quiet activities...just to learn to still/quiet the nerves and lessen the stress...Dr. Andrew Weil of Harvard has a wellness center with tools, newsletters, great information. Get enough sleep!

Lower BP
by: Alex

You must talk to your doctor. That BP is too high.
Ask the doctor about Olmetec...seems to be a good one. Otherwise take Omega 3 and try not to stress.
This is really a case for s good doctor. If the one you have doesn't give you full attention then change. I don't know where you live but would suggest you try to see an English trained doctor or (even better) an MD from Vienna. Like everything it's not just a fix you need...it's how good the fix is.

Other Steps You Can Take
by: Gem

Hi Selina

Well done in changing you diet. That is a first good step. But the best of diets still don`t supply us the nutrition we really need to maintain good health. That is why many people supplement their diets.

Minerals are one of the most important nutrients for cell and organ function. Imbalances cause problems such as high blood pressure. Taking a ionic solution will make a difference.

Also you could give your major organs a cleanse. It`s recommended that this as a vital first stage before we do anything else. A detox program for colon, liver and kidneys rids the body of toxic heavy metals.

Then a 1/2 hr a day exercise program strengthens your immune system and other systems that control blood pressure. Strength training is an excellent option, and you can do that at home.

You will find information on all these subjects in the pages of my website. Let me know what will be your next step, and that is important that you take it step by step. It will encourage you too as you see and feel the results.

All the best!

Gem
